Product Guide – Storage & Preparation

Here you will find all important information for the correct storage and preparation of our products. Our dishes are handcrafted according to traditional recipes – so you can enjoy the full experience at home.


🥟 Dumplings (Frozen)

Pelmeni, Vareniki, Manti, Khinkali, Pirozhki

Storage

  • Store in the freezer at −18 °C.
  • Shelf life: up to 6 months (see packaging).
  • Do not thaw and refreeze.

Preparation (each type of dumpling is written on the packaging)

  • Boiling (Pelmeni, Vareniki): Bring plenty of salted water to a boil. Add frozen dumplings directly to the boiling water. After they float to the surface, boil for another 5–7 minutes. Serve with sour cream, butter, or mustard.
  • Frying (Pelmeni, Vareniki): Fry in a pan with a little oil over medium heat until golden brown on all sides (approx. 8–10 min.).
  • Khinkali: Always boil – never fry. Hold with fingers, drink the broth first, then eat.
  • Manti: Steam in a steamer for 25–30 minutes. Serve with butter and sour cream.

🥣 Soups (Frozen & Fresh)

Borscht, Shchi, Chicken Soup, Pea Soup

Storage

  • Frozen: At −18 °C, lasts up to 6 months (see packaging).
  • Fresh: In the refrigerator at 2–4 °C, consume within 3 days.

Preparation

  • Frozen: Heat in a pot over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the soup is completely thawed and hot (approx. 15–20 min.). Alternatively, thaw in the refrigerator overnight, then heat.
  • Fresh: Heat in a pot over medium heat. Do not let it boil.
  • Okroshka (cold): Serve cold. Dilute with kvass or kefir as desired. Do not heat.

🍖 Ready Meals (Frozen & Fresh)

Golubtsy, Stuffed Peppers, Beef Goulash, Uzbek Plov, Frikadellen, Shashlik

Storage

  • Frozen: At −18 °C, up to 6 months (see packaging).
  • Fresh: In the refrigerator, consume within 2–3 days.

Preparation

  • Golubtsy & Stuffed Peppers: Simmer in a pot with a little water or tomato sauce over low heat for 25–30 min. (frozen: 40–45 min.). Alternatively, thaw in the refrigerator overnight, then heat.
  • Goulash & Plov: Heat in a pot over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Frozen: approx. 20 min. Alternatively, thaw in the refrigerator overnight, then heat.
  • Frikadellen: Fry in a pan with a little oil over medium heat for 5–6 min. on each side. Or in the oven at 180 °C for 20 min. Alternatively, thaw in the refrigerator overnight, then heat.
  • Shashlik: Grill on a grill or in a pan over high heat until the meat is cooked through (core temperature 75 °C). Frozen: thaw in the refrigerator before grilling.

🥞 Blini & Syrniki (Frozen)

Storage

  • At −18 °C, up to 6 months (see packaging).

Preparation

  • Blini (filled): Fry in a pan with a little butter over medium heat for 3–4 min. on each side. Or in the oven at 180 °C for 15 min. Serve with sour cream. Alternatively, thaw in the refrigerator overnight, then heat.
  • Syrniki (fried, ready-made): Warm up briefly in a pan (2–3 min. per side). Serve with sour cream, jam, or honey.
  • Syrniki (for frying, raw): Fry in a pan with oil or butter over medium heat for 4–5 min. on each side until golden brown.

🥗 Salads & Cold Dishes (Fresh)

Olivier, Vinaigrette, Herring Salad, Carrot Salad, Sauerkraut, Kholodets

Storage

  • Store in the refrigerator at 2–4 °C.
  • Consume within 3 days of delivery.
  • Kholodets (Aspic): In the refrigerator, consume within 3 days. Do not freeze.

Serving

  • Serve directly from the refrigerator or let acclimatize briefly at room temperature (10–15 min.).
  • Kholodets: Serve cold, sliced. Serve with mustard or horseradish.
  • Sauerkraut: As a side dish, in soups, or as a salad with a little oil and onions.

🍰 Desserts & Baked Goods

Medovik, Oreshki, Easter Kulich, Quark Pascha, Pirozhki

Storage

  • Medovik (fresh): In the refrigerator, 3 days. Frozen: up to 6 months (see packaging).
  • Oreshki (fresh): At room temperature, 3–4 days. Frozen: up to 6 months (see packaging).
  • Easter Kulich: At room temperature, 3–5 days. Wrap in foil.
  • Quark Pascha: In the refrigerator, 3–4 days.

Serving & Thawing

  • Frozen Medovik: Thaw in the refrigerator overnight. Do not thaw in the microwave.
  • Frozen Oreshki: Thaw at room temperature for 1–2 hours.
  • Pirozhki: Warm up in the oven at 160 °C for 10 min. Or in a pan with a little butter. Alternatively, thaw in the refrigerator overnight, then heat.

🧀 Fresh Quark (Tvorog)

Storage

  • In the refrigerator at 2–4 °C, consume within 3–4 days.

Usage

  • Plain with honey or jam for breakfast.
  • As a base for Syrniki, Vareniki filling, or desserts.
  • With fresh herbs for a savory option.

🥤 Beverages

Kvass, Homemade Lemonade

Storage

  • Store in the refrigerator at 2–4 °C.
  • Kvass: Consume within 5–7 days after opening. Keep bottle closed.
  • Lemonade: Consume within 3–5 days.

Serving

  • Serve well chilled. Kvass can also be used as a base for Okroshka.

🌶️ Hot Mustard

Storage

  • Store in the refrigerator after opening, lasts up to 3 months.

Usage

  • As a dip for Pelmeni, Kholodets, Shashlik, or bread.

💡 General Tips

  • Frozen products should always be used directly from the freezer or gently thawed in the refrigerator – never thaw at room temperature.
  • Fresh products should be consumed as soon as possible after delivery.
  • All products are without preservatives – therefore, it is essential to observe the shelf life instructions.
